Independent research.
Practical perspective.
No agenda.
ITquette Autonomous Lab was founded by Abiodun Olorunfemi on a straightforward observation: the autonomous vehicle industry is scaling faster than its operational infrastructure. The technology conversation is mature. The incident management, safety governance, and evidence readiness conversation is not.
Abiodun Olorunfemi brings a background in incident management and safety operations — the discipline of understanding how complex systems fail, how organisations respond under pressure, and what separates teams that improve consistently from those that repeat the same failure modes. That operational grounding shapes everything ITquette publishes.
Alongside that operational foundation, Abiodun has developed a research and intelligence practice focused specifically on the autonomous vehicle ecosystem — tracking partnerships, regulatory developments, technology moves, and deployment patterns across every layer of the AV stack. That breadth of intelligence informs the depth of the safety and incident work.
ITquette exists to bring those two threads together. Our work is grounded in how incident response and safety lifecycle management actually function in complex operational environments — not how they are described in standards documents or presented in conference papers.
We publish what we find openly. Our research is available through this site and our LinkedIn platform. When organisations find it relevant to something they are actively working through, we welcome that conversation — approached with genuine curiosity about the problem rather than a predetermined solution to sell.
-
01Incident lifecycle and response How organisations structure the full journey from first detection through closure — triage, evidence, coordination, after action review, and corrective action tracking.
-
02Evidence readiness and regulator narratives What gets captured, how it gets packaged, and whether the narrative that reaches a regulator or city partner is accurate, complete, and credible under scrutiny.
-
03Safety governance and traceability How safety claims are maintained as systems evolve — traceability between field performance, corrective actions, configuration changes, and updated safety cases.

04Industry intelligence and partnership analysis Tracking AV deployment partnerships, regulatory developments, and technology moves — published as timely analysis through our LinkedIn platform.
How we think about this work
Every insight is tested against what actually happens in complex operational environments — not what the standard says should happen or what a clean architecture diagram implies.
The AV industry has no shortage of general safety frameworks. What operators need is specific, applicable thinking about their particular scale, regulatory context, and operational structure.
A complete governance framework that sits in a document and is never used is worse than nothing. We emphasise starting with one workflow, proving it works, then expanding — because that is how operational change actually happens.
Good evidence readiness is not about preparing for the worst case incident. It is about building the operational infrastructure that makes every conversation with a regulator, city partner, or public stakeholder more grounded and more credible.
No single incident response, however well handled, builds lasting trust. The operators who maintain their operating licences in competitive markets are the ones who have demonstrated consistent, improving behaviour across many incidents over time.
We track developments across AV technology companies, traditional automakers, ride hailing platforms, and regulators simultaneously. Patterns that are invisible within a single organisation become clear when viewed across the ecosystem.
Our research is relevant to anyone building, deploying, or regulating autonomous vehicle operations — AV technology companies, traditional automakers, ride hailing platforms, and city and national regulators. The incident management and safety governance challenges that matter are shared across all of them.
Beyond the research
ITquette Autonomous Lab is the research and publishing arm of Itquette LLC — a Phoenix, Arizona-based autonomous vehicle safety operations company. Where the Lab publishes frameworks and analysis, Itquette LLC delivers the operational work directly: incident documentation as a managed service, structured evidence packages for regulatory readiness, and cross-functional notification support for AV fleet operators in Arizona and beyond.
The research informs the service. The service informs the research. If you are an AV operator working through incident documentation, safety evidence, or regulatory coordination challenges and you want to discuss what that looks like in practice, that conversation belongs with Itquette LLC — not just the Lab.
